Privacy Policy
Last updated · 8 June 2026
This policy describes how FilmPix Studios Limited ("we", "us") handles your personal information across our apps and the apps.filmpixstudios.com website.
We are a small independent developer based in Ireland, and we believe in being clear, brief, and honest about data. The short version: most of our apps don't collect any personal data at all. Studio Flow and Rydr store data you enter in order to provide their core functionality — nothing more.

1. Who we are
This service is operated by FilmPix Studios Limited, a company registered in Ireland.
- Contact email: info@filmpixstudios.com
- Data Controller (under GDPR): FilmPix Studios Limited
2. Privacy by app
Each of our apps has different privacy needs. The summaries below describe exactly what each app does and does not do with your data.
Studio Flow — Photographer CRM (Mac)
Studio Flow is a studio management app for photographers. It stores the business data you enter — clients, projects, invoices, quotes, contracts, tasks, and shoot plans — so you can access and manage it across sessions.
What we collect:
- Account credentials — your email address and a securely hashed password, used solely for sign-in and account recovery. We never receive or store your password in plain text.
- Business profile — your studio name, owner name, address, phone, website, invoice prefix, currency, and VAT settings that you enter in the app. Optionally, a studio logo image you upload.
- Client records — names, email addresses, phone numbers, Instagram handles, tags, and notes you enter for each client.
- Business records — projects, quotes, invoices, payments, contracts, tasks, pricing profiles, and shoot plans you create within the app. This includes any content you type into contract and note fields.
All of the above is data you provide explicitly. We do not infer, derive, or collect anything beyond what you type into the app.
What we do NOT collect: analytics, advertising identifiers, crash reporting SDKs, your contacts, your calendar, your location, or any data about your activity outside the app.
How your data is used: solely to provide the app's functionality. Your business data is never sold, shared with third parties, or used for any purpose other than displaying it back to you within the app.
Backend and processors: Supabase (PostgreSQL database and file storage hosted on AWS in Ireland) is used to store and sync your data. Supabase acts as our data processor under a Data Processing Agreement. Your data does not leave the EU/EEA.
Data deletion: you can delete individual records at any time from within the app. To permanently delete your account and all associated data, contact us at info@filmpixstudios.com and we will action this within 30 days.
Rydr — Group Rides (iPhone & Android)
Rydr is a group ride planning and tracking app for motorcyclists. It collects only what's required to make the social features work.
What we collect:
- Account information — when you sign in with Apple we store the Apple-provided identifier and the display name you choose. When you sign up with email we store your email address (for sign-in and account recovery) and a securely hashed password. On Android, you may also sign in with Google, in which case we store your Google-provided identifier, display name, and email address. We never receive Apple or Google passwords.
- Profile information — display name, bio, riding style, and motorcycle details that you choose to provide.
- Live location data — during an active group ride, your GPS position is broadcast in real time to other riders in that specific ride only. Live positions are never written to our servers — they exist only in memory for the duration of the active session and are gone the moment the ride ends. We do not sell, share, or use your location for advertising.
- Ride history — routes you create or save, public rides you join, and completed ride records (distance, duration, average speed). This data is stored in your account on our servers and is visible to you in your Profile. It is retained for as long as your account exists and is deleted permanently when you delete your account.
- Social data — friend connections and friend requests you make within the app. This data is used only to power the friends list and group ride features.
- Community posts — if you create posts in the community feed, the text content and any attached ride or route references are stored in your account. Posts are automatically deleted after 30 days. You can delete your own posts at any time. Posts are visible to other Rydr users if the option "Everyone" is selected. If "Friends only" is selected, only your friends will see the posts.
- Subscription status — if you subscribe to Rydr Pro, your purchase is processed entirely by Apple via the App Store. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment details. We receive only a confirmation of your active subscription status from Apple's StoreKit, which is stored in your account to unlock Pro features.
- Device token — if you opt in to push notifications, we store a device-specific token issued by Apple (iOS) or Google (Android) to deliver ride invites and activity alerts. You can withdraw this at any time in your device notification settings.
Transactional email — when you register with email or request a password reset, we send a confirmation or reset email from noreply@apps.filmpixstudios.com via Brevo (Sendinblue SAS), acting as our data processor. Your email address is used solely for these transactional messages and is never used for marketing.
What we do NOT collect: third-party analytics, advertising, tracking SDKs, your contacts, your photo library, your microphone, or any data about your activity in other apps.
Backend & processors: Supabase (PostgreSQL on AWS Ireland) for accounts and ride data; Mapbox for maps and turn-by-turn navigation — your GPS coordinates are transmitted to Mapbox during active navigation to provide route snapping and rerouting (see Mapbox Privacy Policy); Apple's CoreLocation framework (iOS) and Google's Location Services (Android) are used to reverse-geocode your ride start and end points into a country name — this request is handled on-device by Apple and Google respectively under their own privacy policies; Apple for Sign In with Apple; Google for Sign In with Google (Android); Brevo for transactional email delivery.
Photo Border (iPhone)
Photo Border adds borders, frames, and EXIF details to your photos. All processing happens on your device.
Photo Border does not collect, store, or share any personal data. Your photos are never uploaded to any server. There are no analytics, tracking, or third-party SDKs.
The app accesses only the photos you explicitly select. Imported and exported images remain entirely on your device.
FrameForge — Photo Borders (Mac)
FrameForge is a Mac app for adding polished borders to photos. All image processing happens locally on your device.
FrameForge does not collect, store, or share any personal data. Your photos are never uploaded to any server. There are no analytics, tracking, or third-party SDKs.
FrameForge accesses only the files you explicitly select via macOS file open and save dialogs. Imported and exported images remain entirely on your device.
CaptionForge — Viral Captions (Mac)
CaptionForge generates and exports captions for short-form video. All processing happens locally on your device.
CaptionForge does not collect, store, or transmit personal data. Audio processing for speech recognition uses Apple's on-device system frameworks. There are no analytics, advertising SDKs, or third-party tracking.
CaptionForge accesses only the files you explicitly select via macOS file dialogs (videos, subtitle files, caption exports such as SRT or FCPXML). If you choose to install caption title templates for Final Cut Pro, these files are copied to your Movies/Motion Templates folder only with your explicit consent.
If a future version of CaptionForge adds optional network-based features (such as online translation), this will be disclosed clearly and controlled via macOS capabilities.
PosePlan — Photo Pose Guide (iPhone)
PosePlan is a photoshoot planning app. You browse a built-in pose library, build shot lists, add notes, and run Shoot Mode on the day of your shoot. All content and data lives on your device.
PosePlan does not collect, store, or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no analytics SDKs, and no third-party tracking. The app accesses only your photo library if you explicitly add your own custom poses — those images stay on-device and are never uploaded anywhere.
The one-time unlock purchase is processed entirely by Apple. We receive no payment details or identifying information from that transaction.
Retention Lab — Video Analytics (Mac)
Retention Lab analyses video files directly on your Mac — hook strength, pacing, cognitive load, payoff scoring, and a predicted retention curve — and generates coaching notes to help you improve your content before publishing.
Retention Lab does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. There are no accounts and no internet connection is required. All video processing, transcription (via Apple's on-device speech recognition), scoring, and AI coaching (via Apple Intelligence on macOS 26 and later, or a local rule engine on earlier systems) happens entirely on your Mac. Your video files are never uploaded to any server.
On macOS 26 and later, Retention Lab uses Apple Intelligence to refresh category benchmarks weekly. This happens entirely on-device with no data leaving your Mac.
Analysis results and exported PDF reports are saved locally and remain under your full control.
3. Website privacy
This website (apps.filmpixstudios.com) is a static page that lists our apps. We do not use cookies, analytics, or tracking on this site. Standard server logs (containing IP addresses and request paths) may be retained briefly by our hosting provider for security and abuse prevention, but we do not access or analyse these logs for any other purpose.
4. Your rights under GDPR
If you are in the EU or UK, you have the following rights regarding any personal data we hold about you. These rights are most relevant to Rydr users, since our other apps don't collect personal data.

If you believe we have not handled your data properly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Irish Data Protection Commission.
Data retention

For Photo Border, FrameForge, CaptionForge, PosePlan, and Retention Lab: we retain nothing, because we collect nothing.

Our apps are not directed at children under 16, in line with the digital age of consent under Irish data protection law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has created a Rydr account, please contact us and we will delete it.
